Top notch cd! These two make a magnificent duo! I can't listen to it enough. Anna's voice is just awesome and Pat's talent just brings it all together. These two need to get together again. I highly recommend this cd. Anna sings in Polish but this does not detract from your listening pleasure in any way in my opinion. Don't be afraid to buy this one!

Having only recently come accross Anna Maria Jopek and being a fan of Pat Metheny since the Seventies I was prepared to be disappointed with the overall product. However, I can honestly say that I was most pleasantly surprised at the blend of these two great artists, their overall musical compatibility and humility which comes accross effortlessly in this collection. Easily enough Metheny, and a showcase of the beautiful capabilities of Jopek's voice.

The inspiration is really high in this work. The great talent of Anna Maria match perfectly the music of Pat, supported by a pool of really amazing musicians. The really great regret about of this CD is the poor quality of the mixing/mastering: probably because of the excess in "pumping" levels you will perceive an amount of distortion that will vary from light to unbearable, depending of the reader... Unacceptable in a product coming from a usually professional label. The three stars are only because of the high level of the music that , in itself, deserves a five stars; the CD deserve a zero star.

If you are a Metheney fan then you've got to add it to your collection. He resonates on a deep level with Jopek in that mystically spiritual way reminiscent of Pat at his best. Her vocals are enchanting and a supreme work of art. The two are magical artists on another level. This work is sensual, deep, and profound. I hope they get together again. Maybe she can be a special part of the next Pat Metheney Group adorned in a feminine ambience?
I love this compilation.

I've never been a real fan of recasting Metheny originals with lyrics, but this unheralded release scored big with me. Jopek (and the band) seamlessly weaves her originals between Metheny covers and Pat does was Pat does best -- blow powerful synth gtr lines! Be sure to get the original POLISH language version -- you may not understand the words, but you'll appreciate what she's communicating.
